Old Fourth Ward (also known as Historic Fourth Ward and O4W) is an Intown Atlanta neighborhood adjacent to Downtown Atlanta and borders popular neighborhoods like Inman Park, Midtown Atlanta, and Poncey-Highland. The streets are filled with vibrant, colorful historic homes as well as modern condo buildings and factory-style lofts on the main streets.
We love (really love) the 1920s Craftsman bungalows that fill the streets in O4W. With the big rocking chair front porches are the perfect place to hang out and greet your neighbors as they jog or walk by, usually with two dogs and/or a stroller! There are a few Tudor style homes,1940s cottages, new Craftsman homes, and contemporary homes speckled throughout the neighborhood that add more personality to the neighborhood.
Over the last few years, several exciting developments popped up, from the restoration of the Historic Fourth Ward Park and Skate Park, Beltline trails and the new Ponce City Market in neighboring Poncey Highlighland. With all the new businesses, townhome and loft communities and annual events, Old Fourth Ward is officially the hottest Atlanta neighborhood and we've seen a dramatic spike in home sales AND home values.
